According to research by Climate Central, some of Scotland’s central belt is predicted to be submerged by seawater come 2050 – Fife's vulnerable coastal communities would be impacted by rising waters. The upper Forth River would breach its banks and areas within Stirling, Grangemouth, Kincardine, and Bo'ness would be covered by advancing waters. HMY Britannia’s dock at Leith would be underwater. Glasgow Airport is also highlighted as at risk, and golfers at St Andrews will need wellies. [Source]
