NEWS FROM AROUND THE CHAPTER

The DIA organise a regular series of events each year which are publicised in the press, our own quarterly DIAlogue magazine and periodic reminders. These events seek to promote architecture to an ever wider community and seek to catalyse a vibrant and outward looking profession at a local level.

A major initiative in 2009 will be the celebration of our anniversary in the form of DIA 125. The centre piece of which will be our hosting of the annual RIAS Convention in May, when we look forward to welcoming many hundreds of architects from around the world to our Chapter. It is hoped that the Calendar of Events in 2009 will gradually grow, with the assistance of a number of external agencies and that, that progress will be updated on this website throughout the year.

The Institute wishes to catalyse a more general debate and interest in the built and natural environment. We would therefore encourage our members to submit news stories for inclusion in this website, to identify issues which we should tackle and initiatives which we should undertake.
